Ignite is for young people in years 7-12 - all welcome!
We meet on Friday nights during school term at the church hall at 6.30-8.15pm.
Each week we get to know each other through fun activities, sharing food together and tackling the big questions of life by exploring the message of the Bible.
We look forward to meeting you!
Here’s what some of the youth at Ignite think...
"We play fun games, we talk about Jesus and God, have dinner and play more really fun games. I like to come because the leaders are nice and the kids are fun. We get to learn about God. The evenings are a great laugh. I have learned lots more about Jesus. I also like the once a term evenings where we go do something really fun."
"I have been attending for a year now and I still think it is great! My friend invited me to two of the excursions and then my mum asked me if I would like to go every week. I said yes because I found it lots of fun and a great end to the week. The things I enjoy the most are having dinner after the Bible story with the leaders and the other people and the games we play afterwards. So far I have learn't about kindness and that having faith is a good thing. It's a great way to make new friends and meet new people from other schools. The leaders are good role models and they look after the group, especially on excursions. IT'S GREAT!! FRIDAY NIGHTS ARE AWESOME!! "
"I was invited by my friend and as time went by I got more confident around the new people that I'd met and learnt a lot about god. I like it because I catch up with out-of-school friends and it's a good thing to spend my Friday nights on."
“It is a great experience and the leaders work really hard to make it an enjoyable night every week. Whether they are organising outreach nights to Pancakes on the Rocks or organising a myth-busting night, they are always working hard. Sometimes we swim, bowl or walk over the bridge to see things, and we always have fun”
