CHILDREN & YOUTH

Kid's Church (Saturdays and Sundays)

Our kid's ministry is growing - and so is our need for enthusiastic leaders! Kid's church is a weekly commitment, leading kids in games and activities, and  teaching them about Jesus. Kid's church leaders serve on Saturday nights or Sunday mornings. Sign-up to serve.

Kirribilli Kids

Several times in the year we run Saturday morning events for primary-aged kids. There are opportunities to serve, particularly if you have an interest in art, cooking or sport (these are the themes of the events). Sign-up to serve.

Playtime by the Bridge

Every Thursday morning in school terms, a playgroup operates for children (0-5 year) and their parents/carers. You can serve in this ministry (whether or not you have children) by helping to set-up/pack-up, prepare and serve morning tea, lead craft, games or singing, or chat with the parents and carers. SOUL (Youth)

Our weekly youth group takes place on Friday nights (6-8pm) for youth in years 5-8. This is a weekly commitment, serving the youth by building relationships and teaching them about Jesus. Sign-up to serve.

Tuesday Morning Creche

Serve the women of our church by caring for their children as they study the Bible on Tuesday mornings (9am - 12noon). Sign-up to serve.

COMMUNICATIONS

Graphic Design

Use your design skills to develop artwork for sermon series, outreach events, ministry activities, signage, website graphics and more. Sign-up to serve.

Photography

If you've got an eye for what makes a great photo, there are opportunities to serve by taking photos at events to be used on our website and for media promotion. Sign-up to serve.

Video

We're ramping up our use of video this year to share testimonies and promote key events and ministries in our gatherings and on our website. If you can film or edit video, you'll find your skills put to good use. Sign-up to serve.

Web Development

Our website is the first stop for many visitors to our church, and a resource for our church and Christians around the world. Web developers can also serve in the development and maintenance of separate websites for some of our larger community events. Sign-up to serve.

Writing

If you have a way with words, you can serve in a variety of ways, including developing press releases, newsletter content, interviews and more. Sign-up to serve.

MUSIC

Singers and musicians serve on teams at our weekly gatherings, helping God's people to worship Him in song. There are opportunities for singers, and people who can play piano, bass, electric and acoustic guitar and drums. Sign-up to serve. 

OUTREACH, EVANGELISM AND SOCIAL ACTION

Adopt-A-Street

Are you a local? When you adopt-a-street in our parish (we'd love you to adopt your own street), you deliver postcards to your chosen street to promote events at church throughout the year. Postcard deliveries take place about 5 times per year. Sign-up to serve.

Appeals (Winter and Christmas)

Twice a year we collect food and other items to give to those in need. As a member of this team, you will help out on two Saturdays during the year, collecting and sorting items, and packing them to be sent to Anglicare. Sign-up to serve.

Carols under the Bridge committee

Planning for this December event starts early in the year! Committee members can serve in a variety of ways - event management, logistics, kid's and more. Sign-up to serve.

Christianity Explored (caterers)

We provide tasty meals for guests at our 'Christianity Explored' course. If you like to cook, there's an opportunity to cater at one or more of these courses. Sign-up to serve.

Christianity Explored (course facilitators)

Five times this year we'll be running 'Christianity Explored' - a 7-week introduction to Christianity. Course facilitators guide discussion (all curriculum and DVD content is provided) and care for our guests. You can serve as a facilitator at one or more of these courses. Sign-up to serve.

Community Lunches

Once a month we put on a free lunch for people in our local community. There are opportunities to serve with food preparation, set-up/pack-up and chatting with our guests. Sign-up to serve.

I Heart Kirribilli committee

Planning for our week-long outreach event starts early in the year! Committee members can serve in a variety of ways - an interest in art and/or music is a plus. Sign-up to serve.

Made Fair Markets

On several Saturdays throughout the year, we run a market outside the church, selling fair trade products, and chatting with passers-by. You can serve by running a stall (or assisting to run a stall), or chatting with people. Sign-up to serve.

PROPERTY

Gardening

The gardening team maintains the small gardens on our church property. This role includes watering and fertilising plants, removing weeds, and occasionally replacing plants. The gardening team helps keep our property looking clean and tidy, and an attractive place for visitors to attend. Sign-up to serve.

Maintenance

Are you handy? From time to time, our church building needs general repairs (e.g. fixing door knobs, painting, etc). Sign-up to serve.
