Saturday’s High Performance morning for me was definitely an unforgettable experience of sleep education, “happy cat” Pilates and banana bread.
To kick off the morning Dr John Best gave us an insight into high performance living and shared some of his own life experiences – particularly the importance of Jesus in his life. Dr Best explained how our mental, spiritual and physical healths all contribute to our ability to function at a high performance level. One topic covered was sleep quality - as a result I will never again underestimate the power of a 20 minute afternoon cat nap to revitalize, refresh and renew!
We then moved into our exercise sessions. I and many others enjoyed a great Pilates class of stretching and strengthening our core muscles while the super keen went down under the bridge to work up a sweat while enjoying the sunshine on the beautiful day that it was.
The delicious breakfast was well received by all providing healthy sustenance, an opportunity to meet others and digest the morning’s activities.
I left feeling stretched, physically challenged and more equipped to live a high performance life!
