Who could say ‘no’ to a free cupcake and a taste of freshly ground Ethiopian Dark Roast coffee? Not many, judging from those who succumbed at CBTB’s Fair Trade Stall.
With the aroma of coffee in the air, the sun shining and the excitement of face painting, many Kirribillians could not help but stop to take a look and make some purchases from the variety of toys, cards, chocolate, handbags, coffee, and other products we had available from Tribes & Nations.
It was great to chat with passers-by about the coffee, the glorious weather and about why we, at CBTB are keen to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves…and defend the rights of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31:8-9).
People were thankful that we had put this Fair Trade stall on for the community and asked when we would be doing it again - stay tuned!
In the meantime taste for yourselves the Fair Trade coffee we now serve for morning tea and supper at church.
