3 ways you can serve the church family with Planning Center Online

27 April

In our previous post, we outlined why we’re using Planning Center Online.

In order to make this system work, we need your help. Please consider your involvement in this new system an act of loving service to our church family. Here’s three straightforward ways that you can make this system work well:

1. Respond to requests quickly. Rosters are distributed in advance, for two-month blocks (e.g. you will receive a notification at the end of April, for serving in May-June). When you receive the email request to serve, please respond as quickly as you are able, so that we can confirm your availability, or find someone to replace you.

2. Be available. One of the challenges for recent rosters is the frequency with which some people ‘decline’. If you have been rostered on to an area of service that you would prefer not to be involved in, please let us know and we will remove you. However, if you are willing to serve, please make church a priority, and wherever possible, accept. This ties in neatly with the final point:

3. Make church a priority. Church is us! Church happens because we attend and we serve. While there will be times when you are sick or on holidays, please make it a priority to come to church every week – to love and serve the family of God.

Thank you for your service.
