Memory is a powerful tool.  To remember is not just recalling how you felt – but to feel it all over again.  Remembrance makes a past experience a present reality.

Jesus, in his final meal calls his followers to ‘Do this in remembrance of me’ – looking forward to the suffering he was about to endure.  To remember rightly what Jesus has done, why he did it & who he has done it for.  Even now the challenge for us is to keep remembering his spiritual victory, the fellowship of forgiven sinners & the model it sets us of service.
